Has The Wrestler made you nostalgic for the glory days of professional wrestling? Does it have you thinking back to the days when you recreated Wrestlemania III with your Hulkster and Andre the Giant action figures? Wondering where some of your favorite wrestling stars of the '80s are now?

I agree. I remember coming home from the pub on
Sat afternooon to watch wrestling on ITV. Few of the comedians shown here were on it. I well remember seeing Kendo Nagasaki, Big Daddy and Co. at the Queens Hall Derby.

This is one of the problems with ASYLUM - it starts a subject about 80's wrestling of which I was a big fan and what happens ... you get a load of American wrestlers in there! What was the point? It is also another reason why I don't like reading the Asylum pages on AOL. I am afraid if you want to find out about 80's wrestling, just do what I had to do. Forget this page and google it!

What about Count Bartelli (Geoff Condliffe) from Crewe-Brilliant.
His brother still works part time at my bike shop in Crewe.

well i worked in Jim's pub in Batley "Seconds Out" in the early 90s' for a year. He was a good bloke too. Like somebody else mentioned i heard he had gone to Gran Caneria selling timeshare. Though he kept coming back for visits. Where he is now i have no idea.

Jim moved to Gran Canaria years ago and owns an appartment in Peurto Rico.
He sold timeshare purely out of boredom, not money and also the need to entertain people.
He was the only guy I know that could take a whole coachload of pensioners on a presentation - what a character !!!
I last saw him in 2000 and he was as fit and enegetic as ever, his son works as an entertainer on the island and Jim does bizarre hypnosis shows when the mood takes him.
I hope as a pensioner I have as much energy, but will never have as much character as Jim.
