In 1924, Frank Lloyd Wright built the Ennis House in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Los Feliz. It's a giant home inspired by Mayan temples, that is probably at least partially responsible for Southern California's obsession with Scientology and alien visitors. If that doesn't weird you out, the 6,000-square-foot residence is on the market right now for £8million. There's a catch: It's a bit of a money pit, and requires a good £3million to remodel it up to scratch.
The Ennis House has been featured in Blade Runner, Buffy and Twin Peaks, so you'll also need to throw down a significant security budget to keep out all the geeks.
