In Formula One drivers only stand a chance of winning a race if they are in the right car. In the world of Miss Plastic, the globe's top prize for 'surgically enhanced' women, you need the right surgeon to stand a chance.

That's why we hope that Réka Urban, who has just scooped the dubious title in her native Hungary, thanked her surgeon upon winning the award.

'Miss Plastic' was held to promote plastic surgery. It did so by showing off 18 women who had undergone breast implants, nose jobs or face lifts -- mere Botox or collagen injections were not enough to qualify for entry -- and asking judges to rank them based on overall looks and visibility of scars.

Blonde-haired Réka, 22, took the title winning an apartment in Budapest as her prize. Though it is not known what surgery she had undergone, this is probably a sign of the quality of work done by Dr. Mária Czegléd, who won the constructors' championship (presumably).

While it all worked out in the end the contest got off to a non too auspicious start when early favourite Alexandra Horvath, 23, was rushed to hospital after her fake boobs caused her to lose balance and trip over in her high heels. Sure, that was embarrassing, but at least the blow was cushioned by 12-or-so inches of silicone. (Another picture below.)
