An Australian anthropologist has claimed that today's human is far weaker and less athletic than our ancestors.By analysing 20,000-year-old fossilised footprints of Australian aborigines, Peter McAllister has concluded the typical tribesman was as fast as current 100-meter-record-holder Usain Bolt. He also discovered that during an ancient Tutsi jumping ritual participants would sometimes beat the current world record in the high jump. To top it all off, he contends the average Neanderthal women could beat Arnold Schwarzenegger in an arm wrestling match.
"We are simply not exposed to the same loads or challenges that people were in the ancient past and even in the recent past so our bodies haven't developed," says McAllister.
Yeah, but could these He-men of olden times drink a cup of coffee while simultaneously sending a text message about drinking coffee? That's right. Read it and weep, ancient man. Or don't. Because you can't read.
