He's got a habit of turning up in funny places, Jesus Christ. Whether it is a side-effect of omnipotence or people projecting an unconscious desire to attribute meaning to our potentially pointless existence - Jesus' mug is forever showing up in stuff. Most recently, in the wood pattern of a toilet door of an Ikea in Glasgow (see left). They say he works in mysterious ways, but a toilet door in Ikea? Well, if you are there Jesus, you do probably know best.
In honour of Mr Christ here are our Top 10 sightings of the son-of-god, after the jump.
10. Jesus in a tree. One of his lesser-appreciated skills, it is a fact (by which we mean it's definitely not a fact) that Jesus was the Judea Tree Climbing champion from 22BC to 28BC, but James I cut that bit out of his translation of the bible for fear that the peasantry would take to the trees...again. So maybe it shouldn't have come as a surprise when Sewdutt Maunick found the face of Christ in a tree. He told the BBC: "Something was actually urging me to come to this end of the garden because we never actually sit here." Sewdutt wasn't sure though and called in Pastor, Elaine Thomas, who confirmed it was indeed Jesus: "I think that often we are in the right place at the right time. It's touched my heart and it's done something for me."

8. Jesus in yeast extract spread. Of all the yeast extract spreads in all the world, you had to turn up in mine - is what mum-of-two Claire Allen should have said when she flipped the lid of her Marmite to reveal the beefy countenance of our saviour, Jesus Christ. "I just looked at it and immediately thought, 'That's Jesus Christ'," said Claire. However we think it looks more like this dude.
7. Jesus in a bottle. Jesus appears in the foil wrapper around a bottle of cider. It would seem that he, son-of-God is short of things to do. Why not get a hobby Jesus? Crocheting? Free-running? Stopping all the pain and suffering in the world? Just a thought.
6. Jesus in Dutchman's biscuit. Many a Dutchman has had an otherworldly experience after chomping on a special biscuit but forget those pejorative stereotypes for one second because this was a KitKat chunky. Of all places, in a Kitkat is easily the most bizarre in our list unless the Holy Trinity has something against Nestle.
5. Jesus in Space. Not one of the lesser-read books in New Testament, but his face, apparently, is in this picture taken by the Hubble telescope of The Cone Nebular released in 2004. One admirably devout Christian sited this snap as "the most convincing evidence yet" of the existence of God. Space dust? Really?
4. Jesus in an ashtray. They're a godless lot, the Australians, and after what we can only assume was a rowdy, debauched house-party, maybe Jesus felt like they needed reminding that he was watching and so appeared in an ashtray. You've got to admit, the logic is sound. And it's a reasonable likeness. Well, a reasonable likeness to a man with a beard, which seems to be the prevailing idea of what Jesus looked like.
3. Jesus in your mouth. Lots of people say they've got Jesus inside them, but only one man has proof. When an Arizona man's dentist x-rayed his mouth, he was probably expecting to find wisdom teeth, no God - but that's what he got!
2. Jesus in your shower. In person, it would be at best, unnerving, but in mould it seems altogether less cheeky. But when Jeffrey Rigo saw Jesus in the plaster of his shower - he knew what Jesus wanted him to do. He wanted him to chip it out and sell it on eBay for £1,000 - which is what Rigo did. He sold mould for a grand. One grand!
1. Jesus on Oprah. She does get the best guests. But no, Jesus appeared and presumably still does, on Oprah's title sequence. Is it subliminal manipulation? Is Jesus just the biggest Oprah fan? No, no - we're quite sure it's neither.

1st of all , jesus never reffered himself to others as the son of god
2nd , how can god have a son when he is immortal and man is mortal, man has a beginning and no doubtly an end , whereas god is eternal and lives forever.
3rd, jesus was born from a woman , and he never claimed divinity
4th , the glorious qu'ran which has a chapter named after mary ( mother of jesus) relates the story regarding the birth of jesus. and how his mother ( a saintly woman) secluded herself from her people to a far place towards the east
5th i can prove from the christian bible that jesus christ (pbuh) was NOT crucified.
6th, like god says in the glorious qur'an, " they killed him not, neither did they crucify him"

man has made many gods. In the end we made him in our own image. the sun and rain give us life as we know it Religion has caused more deaths than any plague, illness,or wars. It has a lot to answer for. We all have to believe in eternity, people draw strength from that, no one really knows, so why don't we have the church of now and make sure we make this world a better place to be in. keep your god if you need him, that is good.
If there is a god and he made the garden of eden
then surely this wonderful world we live in is it. what the human race is doing is destroying it.
so take heed, try and understand why people believe in thier god. do not try and change them.
Stop the violence in the name of religion. Religion teaches us to love thy neighbor surely.
Do I Believe? mmmmmmmm well I have doubts I would say I suppose I am an agnostic, God knows why.

Oh but He did. John 9: 35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
And He was identified as the Son of God by all who witnessed the acts He did which no man had ever been able to accomplish before. These were Messianic miracles, witnessed and testified to by many.

You are correct on one point only, Jesus did not refer to himself as the 'son of God'. As for the rest, God can do whatever he likes, it is NOT for you to question him! And as for your so-called ''glorious qu'ran'' was dictated to a scribe by your illiterate, so-called 'prophet Mohammed, over a -two year period, as and when he decided to make-up some new stories! YOU don't even know the history of your own religion...Mohammed was a bandit, extortioner, murderer and a womaniser. These are attested historical facts! Another fact being that he married a 6-7 year old girl; but being the marvelous chap that he was, he didn't actually screw her until she was 9 years old! Now tell me that's just a 'cultural' difference?!?!?!

1st of all , jesus never reffered himself to others as the son of god
Waqar try: John 5:25 TNIV • Read this chapter
Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.
Jesus is talking about Himself in this chapter read the surrounding verses and you’ll understand.
2nd , how can god have a son when he is immortal and man is mortal, man has a beginning and no doubtly an end , whereas god is eternal and lives forever.
Waqar don’t limit God. He can do whatever He likes. Nevertheless there are many examples in the bible to show you that He was. Too many to mention them all but here’s one:
Try: Luke 1:35 NIV • Read this chapter
The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called [ Or So the child to be born will be called holy,] the Son of God.
3rd, jesus was born from a woman , and he never claimed divinity.
Waqar, Jesus tested His disciples to see whether they recognised Him as the Son of God for example in Mathew 16:13-17 He explicitly agreed with Peters declaration "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God." and went on to say “for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven” pretty clear to me, see below:
13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?" 14They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets." 15"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?" 16Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God." 17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.
4th , the glorious qu'ran which has a chapter named after mary ( mother of jesus) relates the story regarding the birth of jesus. and how his mother ( a saintly woman) secluded herself from her people to a far place towards the east
Waqar, the birth of Jesus in all of the Gospels too.
5th i can prove from the christian bible that jesus christ (pbuh) was NOT crucified.
Waqar I can prove that He was.Try but just a few, pretty conclusive don’t you think?:
Matthew 27:26 NIV • Read this chapter. Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
Matthew 27:35 NIV • Read this chapter. When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.
Matthew 27:38 NIV • Read this chapter
Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.
Matthew 27:44 NIV • Read this chapter
In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
Matthew 28:5 NIV • Read this chapter
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
Mark 15:15 NIV • Read this chapter
Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
Mark 15:24 NIV • Read this chapter
And they crucified him. Dividing up his clothes, they cast lots to see what each would get.
Mark 15:25 NIV • Read this chapter
It was the third hour when they crucified him.
Mark 15:27 NIV • Read this chapter
They crucified two robbers with him, one on his right and one on his left. [ Some manuscripts left, 28 and the scripture was fulfilled which says, "He was counted with the lawless ones" (Isaiah 53:12)]
Mark 15:32 NIV • Read this chapter
Let this Christ, [ Or Messiah] this King of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe." Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him.
6th, like god says in the glorious qur'an, " they killed him not, neither did they crucify him"
Waqar, I think that I’ve proved from the bible that He was crucified. I don’t know who the Koran is talking about but Jesus was dead for three days after being crucified. There are many verses that point to the crucifixion and raising from the dead. Here’s one:
Acts 4:10 NIV • Read this chapter
then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.
Waqar , if you don’t believe the bible try Josephus the most prominent Jewish historian of the time, the Jews of all people at the time did not want this to be known which makes Josephus’ account even more trustworthy. Here goes:
In Rome, in the year 93, Josephus published his lengthy history of the Jews. While discussing the period in which the Jews of Judea were governed by the Roman procurator Pontius Pilate, Josephus included the following account:
About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who performed surprising deeds and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Messiah. And when, upon the accusation of the principal men among us, Pilate had condemned him to a cross, those who had first come to love him did not cease. He appeared to them spending a third day restored to life, for the prophets of God had foretold these things and a thousand other marvels about him. And the tribe of the Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared.
- Jewish Antiquities, 18.3.3 §63 (Based on the translation of Louis H. Feldman, The Loeb Classical Library.)
7th, many non muslims believe jesus is/was god, how can man be god? how can god die?? like god says " their is nothing like unto him"
Waqar don’t limit God. He can do whatever He likes. Try: John 21:24-30
24Now Thomas (called Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe it."
26A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, "Peace be with you!" 27Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
28Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
29Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
30Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may[a] believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
May God bless you my friend.
Clive.

Sorry to disapoint you but there is more evidence to proove the existance and divinity of jesus Christ than Pontius pilot who allowed him to be crucified. The trouble with so many so called well educated theologists is they do not allow God Almighty to be God Almighty, He is able to do anything. That's why He is God and we are the created, we can only experience through our 5 senses God is way outside anything we can imagin or think.

harry, i dont mean to disrespect anyones belief in god or religion, in the quran god tells us to be helpfull and do justice even if it is against our ownselves, indeed god does say love thy neighbour, but also god says fear me (god) for every human being will have to give an accont on the actions he had undertaken in the life of this world, and judgment will be based on the intention we had , if you have doubts regarding "does god exist" then feel free to drop me a line i will be happy to help , because it is every muslims duty to speak the truth and your right to know the truth.
its not like man can change anyone against their own will, it is god who makes people accept islam due to them believing in him
a verse from the holy quran: " o ' mankind we created you from a male and female, and made you into peoples and tribes, so that you might come to know eachother, the noblest among you in gods sight is that one of you who best performs his duty, god is all-knowing all -aware." q-49:13

Hi Waqar,
If you believe in your religion then you must take it, it's the way for you to go forward and enjoy your life. It is your medicine.
As a muslim or whatever beiefs you have is special to you.
Unfortunatly in the UK the muslim image has not got a good image. That is so very wrong I know lots of people of different religions all very good people.
Most of them get on and enjoy life without trying to change other people. As I said before religion has got a lot to answer for. In some muslim coutries it has become political and very dangerious to be anything other than muslim and they kill for it.
Why can't people get on with having a good life , say hello , smile at your neighbour, help each other in what ever country we live in.There are a lot of nasty people in this world and I do not understand why or how anyone who can be so vicious to another person just because his beliefs are different and he comes from a different culture.
love thy neighbour, or at least get on with him
make the world a better place today.
don't worry about where you are going when you die.
this world ...if you believe in that sort of thing..
was made for the human race by a god. to enjoy, why are we screwing it up.
My life is good. yes I have had to struggle at times. I was taught that my god is forever forgiving.
Religion does not figure in my life it hovers way back in the distance with all the doubts I have about it.
I get on with living, and If I can help someone who need it I will be there whatever thier beliefs are. I only wish every one would do the same. and stop all these wars in the name of religion. They have been going on for hundreds of years. Will we ever learn

i have read the bible and heres what it says
1- jesus was on the cross for 3 hours , it is difficult for someone to die on the cross if they've only been up there for 3 hours
2- whe bought down from the cross even the 2 cross mates are alive , proving that jesus was alive
3- his legs and bones were not broken
4- the stone of the tomb was moved and the winding sheetys unwound and laced in a pile neatly
5- diguised as a gardner , proving that he was alive and hiding fro the jews
6- the tomb was spacious, what use is a spacioustomb for a dead person?
7- whan mary madgelene goes to touch jesus , he reply's " touch me not", why? cos he was a pysical body , he was alive and in pain
8- i have NOT yet ascended unto my father, proving that he was alive
9-in the upper room he shows hos disciples his hands and feet, to prove he was a pysical body and alive
10- they were overjoyed to see him , because he was alive
11- he ate a piece of broiled fish and honey comb to prove he was alive
12 - the sign of jonah " as jonah was 3 days and 3 nights in the belly of the whale, so shall the son of man ( NOT SON OF GOD) be in the heart of the earth
and the sign of jonah was = ALIVE- ALIVE - ALIVE
if islam is as bad as you think it is, then why do people accept islam? they accept it because it is true faith , not blind like you assume it is

Yet again the limits of man are used to asses what God can do. Just remember the Bible stated "He was whipped and beaten, His back was like a ploughed field, and then made to drag his own cross through Jerusalem streets", which were not polished granite or marble.
Again the Bible Quotes Jesus when He said "It within my power to lay my life down and within my power to take it up again".
No mere man could do so, not even Mohamed, who also said Jesus was someone special, so stop being so negative and closed minded.
The Blood of Jesus Christ is the only sure way to be certain of salvation, all other ways have no certanty at all.

waqar, Jesus wasn't on the cross for 3 hours, because in Mark 15:25, it was the 3rd hour when they put him on the cross. Throughout the 3rd hour to the 6th hour, he was mocked, beaten and bruised. When the 6th hour approaches, darkness overcame the land, untill the 9th hour. On the 9th hour, he cries on the cross and allegedly dies. From the 3rd hour till the 9th hour = 6 hours on the cross, not 3. Even in 6 hours, it is difficult for a person to die. Anyone who is an expert in crucifixion would know that crucifixion is a long and very painful death. You don't die in 6 hours. In 6 hours, you don't die that quickly on the cross. Anyone who is an expert in crucifixion would know that crucifixion is a long and very painful death. You don't die in 6 hours, proving he was alive after being taken down the cross.
ii) Further proof in combination with this is that in John 19:33, none of the legs were broken, giving furthur proof how difficult it is for a person to die in 6 hours on the cross.
iii) According to John 19:36, not ONE of his bones were broken, which (by default) means none of his legs were broken. People who are crucified are guaranteed to have broken bones, due to the fact that crucifixion is a long and slow process. The fact that the Bible says not 1 of his bones were broken combined with that he was on the cross for ONLY 6 hours, proves that he was alive. This conciliates with him only being on the cross for 6 hours, since in 6 hours, it's very difficult to die. No wonder none of bones were not broken, proving Jesus was alive after being taken down from the cross.
iv) In John 19:34, when someone pierced him after he came down from the cross, a sudden flow of BLOOD and WATER came out, AFTER they took him down from the cross.
So, if Jesus was dead when he was removed from the cross, why did his body release blood and water? Blood and water does not flow at all from a dead body. It would be medically impossible for Jesus to have been dead in John 19:34. Anyone who's is medical school or is involved in it, would know that when a body dies, the blood becomes very thick and solidifies within a few hours. But, Jesus is supposed to be dead in John 19:34 for quite some time, so it is medically impossible for him to have been dead here. If he was dead after being taken down from the cross, science tells us that the blood would not have come out from a dead body, proving after the "alleged" crucifixion that Jesus was ALIVE, NOT dead.
Dr. Primose states that:
"The water and the blood when Jesus was lanced on the side was on account of an upset in the nervous vessels because of the scourging by staves."
Some Christians will assert that the piercing to Jesus caused his final death. If this is the case, that means Jesus WAS NOT crucified, because: the term "crucified" according to the Oxford Dictionary means:
(crucifies, crucified) 1 put (someone) to DEATH by nailing or binding them to a cross.
For one to be crucified, he must die on the cross. If Jesus died by the pierce which occurred AFTER he came down from the cross, that means he did NOT die via crucifixion! If Jesus died on the cross, it contradicts that Jesus died by the pricing. If Jesus died by the piercing, it contradicts that claim that he was crucified. So, it is not possible for Jesus to have died via the piercing, because according to the Christians, he was ALREADY DEAD on the cross, BEFORE he got taken down and pierced. If he got pierced AFTER the death on the cross, that means this contradicts science because science tells us that blood and water CANNOT and WILL NOT flow out from a dead body, proving that he was alive after, being taken down from the cross which disproves the crucifixion.
