We don't know quite know how to feel about this. On one hand if there is an undead uprising, we need to react quickly and forcefully, on the other attacking a man because in your drunken stupor you mistakenly think he is a zombie, can't be condoned.

A US man who was ordering food in the early hours of the morning was repeatedly punched in the face by a fellow diner who said he thought his victim was a zombie -- at least he didn't get decapitated or attacked with this ultimate zombie weapon.

The man - who we understand was showing no signs of being a member of the undead army - had been ordering food at a Mexican restaurant in Iowa just after 1am on Sunday morning, when he was approached by a guy who called him a zombie before punching him in the eye. The eye!

When the suspected zombie reacted by trying to call police on his mobile phone - not an approach taken by many undead in any of the movies we have seen - the man punched him again, this time breaking his nose. Which is less funny.

The assailant then fled the scene as an ambulance was called for the battered zombie, who was taken to hospital.

However, we are still slightly confused as to how someone could go into any fast food joint and think it is a customer, rather than unfortunate staff, who appear zombie-like.
