There's no doubt about it. A sneeze every once in a while is a pleasurable experience.

But spare a thought for this young girl. Lauren Johnson, 12, can't stop sneezing. It is so bad that she sneezes up to 20 times a minute, that's a staggering 12,000 times a day.

The non-stop ach-ooing began two weeks ago when Lauren, from Virginia in the US caught a cold. Lauren can't go to school and is even struggling to eat. The only relief she gets is when she falls asleep each night. Her condition has left doctors baffled.

"I can't stop." said the unfortunate girl. "I thought it wouldn't last this long but it's been two weeks Lauren and her family have been on US TV to appeal for doctors who may be able to help, to come forward.
