The Germans are at it again - just as things are starting to look-up for British F1 - Brawn winning the constructors' title, McLaren sure to make a strong comeback next year, Mercedes goes and buys Brawn. Where were you Branson? Messing around with that ridiculous space-ship thing.

It's believed that "zee Germans" are keen to have the all-German driver pairing of Niko Rosburg and Nick Heidfeld, which sounds to us a bit like discrimination, but you know, whatever, we all know the normal world rules don't apply in the champagne world of cut-throat F1 racing.

But as the Germans try to buy their way to motor racing victory, it looks as though Jenson Button, this years champ, and Lewis Hamliton, last years champ, will end up joining forces at McLaren. This might throw up some potential friction between the two ruthlessly combative drivers.

Both men are also known for their extra-curricular exploits off the track, and by "extra-curricular exploits" we of course mean a raft of supremely beautiful ex-girlfriends. So we thought, to help them gel as a team, we'd address this whopping great elephant-in-the-room for them.

Hamilton's beaus:

Vivian Burkhardt - Greneda's entry in Miss World 2007, Burkhardt had a fling with Lewis just before he started dating Nicole Sherzinger. Feeling spurrned after he alledgedy cheated on her with his pussycat doll Burkhardt let Lewis have both barrells in a newspaper interview:

"His life away from the track is far from glamorous. Despite his huge wealth, I hate his lifestyle and feel sorry for him. There he is in Switzerland, where he has no friends, no family, just this amazing four-bedroom flat in the richest part of the city - but it's simply big and empty."

You gots to keep the exs on-side Lewis.

F1 Credibility? Burkhardt is stunningly hot, though the whole Miss World thing is a little tacky, we give her 5/10.

Nicole Sherzinger - Lewis' current lady-lover, and lead singer of grot-tastic, chart-topping dance-troop the Pussycat Dolls, Sherzinger is a full eight years older than Lewis. But she's hot isn't she? (pictured, Getty)

Lewis was forced to rebuke reports in September claiming that he had dumped his aging pop-star girlfriend, calling the stories "bull***t," which may be the first time he's ever sworn.

Some cynics see troubles ahead for this F1 couple. She is after all 31-years-old, she'll be thinking about babies and settling down soon, while Lewis has still got his carefree twenties to enjoy.

It doesn't matter how much Ashton Kutcher may want you to think it's normal, the long-term toyboy thing is a bit weird.

F1 Credibility? She's insanely hot, but not for too much longer. Plus the Pussycat Dolls are a) pretty crap b) adverse to clothes - she's not the type of girl Mummy Hamilton would like to see you bringing home. 8/10

Jodie Ma - Lewis' childhood sweetheart. They met while studying at Cambridge Arts & Science College for their GCSEs from 2001-2002.

Jodie's Dad, business tycoon, Ma Bo-kee, sponsored Lewis' early career before being charged with a £78 million fraud.

Ma Bo-kee was declared bankrupt and the family were forced to move out of their luxurious home, this was also around the time Lewis decided to dump Jodie.Tactful Lewis. Check her out, here.


F1 Credibility? Though not devoid of a girl-next-door charm, Jodie could hardly compete with Monaco-babes Lewis would soon find himself surrounded by. 2/10

Button's babies:

Louise Griffith - Jenson was already dating Griffith before she appeared on BBC's Fame Academy. Griffith is a multi-skiller - after a her girlband "Orchid" split she ventured into acting, appearing in oddly charming British horror flick The Devil's Chair.

Griffith was engaged to Button from 2003 to 2005, only for Jenson to break it off three months before the wedding - the swine.

Although she has since been seen out with Craig David (swing and a miss), Bruce Willis and Jesse Spencer (apparently he plays someone in House).

F1 Credibilty? She's got that classy kind of beauty that says look, but not directly at me or I'll sue you. 7/10

Florence Brudenell-Bruce - Jenson dated this amazing wafey blonde model for two years - parting ways in 2008. This cultured art-history graduate even went to lengths to make sure an interview with The Daily Mail wasn't seen as a kiss-and-tell

The break-up, she told The Daily Mail was "totally" amicable and the couple would remain "very, very good friends."

F1 Credibilty? Cultured, articulate, beautiful, young, intelligent, you have to wonder why Jenson let her slip through his fingers. 9/10

Jessica Michibata

25-year-old half Japanese have Argentine fashion model Jessica has been dating Jenson for a while - and claims the two are very much in love.

A morally superior kind of model, Michibata spends a lot of her free time helping fair trade charities and doing other wonderfully sexy altruistic things.

F1 Credibilty? She's managed to tame the most prodigious ladies man in the paddock, what more do you need? 9/10
