You know the drill. It's a dark, wet Monday morning in December and you reluctantly drag yourself into the office, weight of the world on your shoulders.

Time to quit? Maybe have a think about this job. The University of Leeds is looking for a 'Lap Dance researcher' who will be required to visit dozens of strip clubs around the country, watching and then chatting to 300 dancers.

If that isn't good enough for you (it certainly was for us - -CVs are in the post) the position comes with an annual salary of £31,500.

On a more serious note, the Government funded role is there to investigate the "rise and regulation of lap dancing and the place of sexual labour" and will involve qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis.

Bosses also say applicants should have a social science background and experience in "conducting research in the female sex industry" -- by which they mean something more academic than Big Steve's stag do in Prague.
However, we would be surprised if only suitably qualified people applied -- if you want to be one of the many men lacking the requested skills, but suggesting that you would do it for less, here is the job advert.
