During Hollywood's golden age she was the world's biggest star, but seemingly Marilyn Monroe wasn't just high on the glory of fame, she was high on weed.

Newly released footage, tracked down by a Monroe memorabilia hunter, shows Marilyn toking on a dooby. The film was bought for £180,000 by collector, Keya Morgan, from the person who filmed the footage. Though the copyrights to the film will be sold on eBay, later this week.

The footage shows Monroe, chilaxing with some friends, smoking a joint. The person who made the film said the cigarette, Monroe is seen inhaling contained some weed, which they had bought. The film is believed to date from either 1958 or '59, two years before her death.

Monroe later appears to jokingly sniff her own armpit - which is oddly cute. The video shows a side of Monroe which reminded us of something - stoner girls are hot. With that in mind we've tracked down some of the small and silver-screen's hottest stoner ladies.

Here are Asylum's five hottest stoner ladies.

Milla Jovovich as Michelle Burroughs in Dazed and Confused '93

One of the all time greatest stoner movies, Dazed and Confused (tag line: See it with a bud) takes a day in the life of a bunch of 70s high school kids. From freshmen Mitch Kramer to hot-shot quarter back, Randall Floyd, the film tells the tale of the last day of the school semester and the hazing of incoming middle school students, and by "hazing" we mean hitting with paddles.

Michelle (Milla) is part of the stoner crew who try to avoid the popular kids, until a young Adam Goldberg gets his ass-kicked by one. Though hers is only a small part, stoner Michelle is easily the hottest girl in the film - and she doesn't even try - she couldn't, she's too stoned. Also watch out for a young, kind of fat, Ben Affleck.

Stoner type: Mellow and forgetful.

Anna Faris as Jane F in Smiley Face '07

A much under appreciated stoner comedy. Gregg Araki's 07 offering stars Anna Faris as perpetually stoned, ridiculously cute, Jane F. Think Harold and Kumar except swap them for Faris and White Castle for the beach, and you're virtually there.

This film has some amazing lines and a couple of the most half-arsed cameos of all time: Adam Brody as a dread-locked drug dealer, and American comedian Carrot Top as himself. Though neither detract from Faris' powerful central role - as a cute stoned girl.

Stoner type: See below.

Kristen Stewart as Emily "Em" Lewin in Adventureland '09

Stewart's role as Bella in teenage vamp-vest Twilight, has somewhat eclipsed what we believe to be her most impressive role to date. As sexy, troubled, occasionally stoned, fair-ground worker, Emily Lewin in Greg Mottola's comedy Adventureland.

Her character, Em is the love interest of James Brennan, played by Michael Cera wannabe Jessie Eisenberg. In what we believe to be the most preposterously implausible on-screen relationship since Fox and the Hound (this is just lies). Stewart also caused some weed related controversy when she was snapped wearing a ganja leaf bikini, which you can see right about....here.

Stoner type: Deep conversations about the world and... stuff

Mila Kunis as Jackie in That 70s Show

We at Asylum heart Mila Kunis, we heart her ass off. She's pretty damn near the perfect woman. Near but not quite. Jackie from That 70s Show, is the perfect woman - hot, rich, ambitious and stoned.

Jackie was pretty much the only reason we watched that show - and for the sometimes hilarious stoner round tables. It certainly wasn't for the comedy stylings of Wilder Valderama or that lanky one who's dating that old lady, you know the one, he's always on Twitter - Ashton Kutcher, that's him.

Stoner type: Giggler

Brenda Blethyn as Grace Trevethyn in Saving Grace '00

What? No we're not joking. We think Brenda Blethyn is fine specimen of rounded adult womanhood. No seriously we do. Her role as struggling widow Grace Trevethyn in heart-warming stoner rom-com Saving Grace is about the best acting you're likely to see in a stoner movie.

And it's undeniable, there is something about her character's transformation from prim and proper lady to living-more-the-moment pot-head which is very appealling. Plus it's a stoner movie you can watch with your Nan and she'll like it too, and Bill Bailey's in it.

Stoner type: She'll probably misquote lines from Barbarella at you.
