As the saying goes, "Everyone's a comedian." This doesn't mean, unfortunately, that everyone's a good comedian. Bad jokes, no jokes, worse impressions, they're all out there, dying for us to laugh at (not with) them, as any regular visitor to comedy clubs will testify.

But outside of comedy clubs, there's also... the internet. A massive, expanding, heaving forum for unfunny pillocks to share their love of comedy and hatred of laughter.

So to save you the trouble of collecting together the worst possible wincing moments on the internet, we gathered them up for you, in a handy list below. We're just nice like that. Prepare to clutch your head in your hands... after the jump.

Make it stop, please, make it stop

Red beret? Check. Complete lack of jokes? Check. Weird story about how you once saw a fat woman in a shop? Check. Well then, you're set kid.

The Sound of Silence

There's nothing quieter than the sound of no-one laughing at your jokes. This is the ultimate example of this phenomenon in practice, where a man is so unfunny he seems to suck the oxygen out of the room. If you make it to the end, we salute you.

Performing to an empty room

If you're a bad comedian doing a skit on how bad comedians are like, so, you know, totally bad, that doesn't make *you* any less bad. Comedy's a cruel mistress, but that's how it goes, people.

The worst comedian in Australia

This guy kind of pulls it off -- kind of doesn't. A series of purposefully shocking impressions brings the audience on side, but really, what's the point?

Meet Woody, Britain's worst comic

This man is beyond explanation. His brain seems addled, his connection with reality barely existent, and yet he wants to be a comedian. A YouTuber loves his bad comedy ways so much he's assembled dozens of clips of him being an idiot. Here's just one, where he mutilates a series of accents with aplomb.

The 80s comedy horror picture show

The audience here could easily be the politest ever, what with them suffering Kevin Meaney's peculiar brand of non-humour this kindly. So 80s, so embarrassing, so very, very odd.

The comedy-endectomy

The short, short, shorts. The bouncing movements. The shouting voice. You've got to admire his bravery, putting himself out there like this, but seriously, he needs some help.

The least funny comedian to ever make it big?

Dane Cook – big over in the US (big enough for the clip below to rack up over 4 million views on YouTube) but small over here, is a tricky one to get your head around. Though he's a serious comedian, we just don't understand the appeal... can you help us? When are we meant to laugh?
