Ugly scenes marred an Ice Hockey match in Ontario, Canada, on Friday. Kind of. Okay, not at all, but play along.

Thousands of Teddy Bears stormed the rink when the London Knights scored their first goal, halting the game as officials tried to regain order.

As many as 8,232 of the fluff-filled yobs hurdled the barrier, to get to the ice, as the Knights drew level with the Guelph Storm, less than 8 minutes into the match. The game was restarted and the Knights went on to win 8-1.

HAHA! Cuh-razy aren't we? In fact the footage you're about to see was part of the Knights' 9th Annual Teddy Bear Toss in support of the Salvation Army. Every year fans bring soft toys and lob them onto the ice when the home side notch their first goal. All are then given to charity, to distribute among the less fortunate at Christmas.

Check out the deluge of bears after the jump, along with some of the other more impressive teddy sieges of recent years.

The London Knights pitch invasion in full, graphic detail...

The bears have previous, as shown in Calgary, Canada, last year.

This mass bear suicide, again at the London Knights was back in 2007.

And finally in Spokane, Washington State, USA in 2007. (Okay, who threw the pick-up truck?)
