Have you heard? The holidays are coming. Seriously, we checked. But we're aware that this time of year, in this particular month, you can get a bit sick of the ol' Chrimbelly Chrimbo Christmas time, with all its jingling jolliness and disproportionally priced gifts.
So we've declared this week's edition of the Asylum's B-Sides 100% Christmas / Santa Claus / The lovely baby Jesus free. Besides the link in the first paragraph, of course, but let's ignore that... and enjoy all the best bits of the web we couldn't fit on the site, after the jump.
Millennium Falcon BedYou're thinking you're the mutt's nuts with your Thurderbirds bedspread but you ain't got nothing on this lady. From the woman who brought you the hamburger bed, meet the B-Sides approved Millennium Falcon bed! (Princess Leia not included)
Cool teacher's elephant answer There's boredom, then there's not being able to answer a question in a maths exam. In the boredom league table, it's up there with the big boys. In such boring moments, creativity sparkles – such as here, when one schoolchild gets artistic, and his teacher sarcastic.
Tandem UnicycleThis is impressive on many levels. First of all, he discovered the concept of a two-person unicycle, then he had the wherewithal to put it together and thirdly... it works. Kind of. Corbin, we salute you and aware you with the B-Sides rosette of brilliance.
Estonian Simpsons reenactment
Great idea this – take The Simpsons intro and remake it, live action. But, why in medieval Estonia? Why? Hats off to the creators, but you just missed the mark, somehow. Still, well worth a peek.
How to meet a man – the desperate art of man hunting
As a man, sometimes you'll get dry spells. Dry, dry, dry spells. If you're having one of these terrible times, or just fancy a laugh, check out this 80s dating video that encourages women to learn about sports to get men interested. It's creepy – but funny.
An elephant in your kitchen
If you've ever seen a real life baby elephant, you know already that they're not as cute as Babar would have you believe. They're odd-looking beasties, but this clip of one living with a zookeeper in her house makes those nellies look so damn cool you'll want one of your own. Possibly.
