David Cameron was feeling a bit embarrassed at the start of the week as posters of the Tory leader's massive, horrendously photoshopped head were plastered up all over the country.Within a day of the posters going up, graffiti-riddled snaps of DC were appearing in the newspapers and online, sparking a photoshop battle the likes of which we've rarely seen.
The Conservatives' poster has been subject to more reworkings and alterations than Gordon Ramsay's face (did we just go there? Hell yeah we went there). From a pirate reworking to a Father Dougal efforts, via Harry Potter. Perhaps 'Dave' isn't as popular with voters as Rupert Murdoch would like you to believe.
So for your delectation and delight we've rounded up the best of the new posters, and added a few of our own, after the break. Tell us which you like best and which you'd like to see and we'll knock'em up. Cos we're nice like that. Also if you fancy a pop at doing one yourself we've included a blank one at the bottom! Email your efforts to camerondefaced@aol.com and we'll post the best.

Cameron might be a tad unprepossessing but, it has to be said, that the Labour Party inherited a FULL treasury when they came to power.....where is it now??? It was largely squandered even before this current financial crisis arrived...these things are not debatable, they are simple fact....ignore the facts at your peril!

What utter crap. After 13 years of Lies, Lies , Lies and more bloody Lies even Noddy and the rest of Toy Town could do a better job than Useless Labour. All they've done is Stuff this country.

Well done that gave me a good laugh on a slow Friday afternoon in the office. The one with the stole, caviar and champagne was a classic. Funny how none of these posters ever made it across the border to Scotland? I do hope the Conservatives win and will be shown as even more unpopular than the last Tory party in power.

I can't believe that some people have not learned the lesson of the New (Soviet) Labour Party. Those in favour must be under the age of 30. Don't you all know that everytime Labour is in power this country is bankrupt by them? This great country has been ruined by them. Stalin would be very, very proud.

who remembers the Thatcher years? I do, pits closed down, steelworks closed down Unions split all utilities privatised , and now we have the son of Thatcher as he calls himself, a smiling buffoon who doesnt know his backside from his elbow, put my faith in him not on your life, I was brought up Tory and voted for them, all my life even voting for Mrs Thatcher, I then learnt common sense and voted her out, and will never vote for the tories again as long as I live , to vote for them is the death knell for this country, you have been warned

So you think it is good now then? After 13 years the idiots have created more people dependent on the State than any other Government in history. The education system is rubbish, kids leaving school who can't read and write, violent knife crime on our streets, anti-social behaviour because of the extended drinking hours, young women having children to several different men and a culture of generations who think it is o.k. to sit at home all day and expect to be given money while others have to do a hard days graft. Yes, that's something to be proud of Gordon.

Wow ,there is a lot of personal agression towards others here .Whatis the point of that .I was born in 1950 so have experienced 60 years of tory and labour ,tit and tat while the country and people go to hell in a handcart. They dont really care for us you know ,I dont beleive they do ,I wish they did .Ask yourself if you would want to be responsable for 7 million people because you think you could help them and care for them and protect their values and the things they hold dear. When I was disabled at work the tories treated me like I was a criminal when I had to do throught the disablement proccess .I was 30 years old and the scaffolding collasped on me and they took my benifit away and made me craw and beg just so I could feed my children .Lead by Thatcher they distroyed every working family I knew .So now we cannot go back ever and we have a situation where they all seem the same .So maybe they with have to learn to work together as one for all the people like the rest of us in a family do .blessings peter
