Put your saliva glands on standby chaps -- the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition is released today -- commence drooling. Adorning the cover of the 2010 edition is tennis ace, Andy Roddick's missus, Brooklyn Decker and, if you hadn't notice, she's preposterously attractive.

The 46th edition of the iconic issue, whose cover has been graced by the shapely forms of Cheryl Tiegs, Christie Brinkley, Heidi Klum, Elle Macpherson, Rebecca Romijn and Tyra Banks, is read by one in five Americans and pulls in roughly £20 million in advertising.

The mag realised they needed to keep blokes interested between the end of the American football season and the start of the basketball and baseball playoffs in the Spring. So how did they do it? With women in bikinis. You've got to love the logic.

Today, the issue is seen by many as the "approachable face of feminine sexuality". Whether it is or not, it's full of beautiful women, and that suits us.

After the break we've got some videos from behind the scenes of this year's shoot (complete with the strangest voice-over ever recorded) and a chat with this year's cover hotty, Brooklyn Decker.
