Unsexy moments in modern art

Britney giving birth
Artist Daniel Edwards made this sculpture of a nude Britney Spears on a bearskin rug while giving birth. We're not sure what's more disturbing -- the sculpture, or the fact that Britney is allowed to procreate in real life, too.
Safety quote: "Child birth is the most natural thing in the world."

Instead making such sculptures of other women it would have been more appropriate if the artist Daniel Edwards did his mother's sculpture of giving birth to him.

I can understand the need to portray modern art by their artists, but surely there is a place and time for everything. I was disgusted to find the Guernsey Castle Authorities paying for 5 modern art metal sculptures of nude men portraying their penisis proudly on the castle ramparts. What have they to do with a historical castle. who authorised the waste of those funds. what a disgraceful to advertise the castle in the first place. To be honest what a waste of time, effort, money and plain commonsense. What are we coming to paying for a load of trash when the money could have gone to the HISTORICAL sites on the island namely the underground hospital of WW2 or the much needed funds to renovate the many WW2 gun emplacements or better still advertising the many cottage idustries which deserve funding

at least the sculpture is expertly sculpted unlike most pseudo intellectual crap that depends on whose arse the usually untalented but pretentious wannabe is trying to impress.
Whilst there are some very contemporary pieces it strikes me that this talented sculpture is merely playing the game to gain recognition-that avaristic and moneygrabbing aol should pillorise this piece shows that the resident critics play to and subscribe to the former assertion.

Having taken the time to view...these modern art pictures...and i hasten to say art is not my bag....have never been to a museum since i was in school ohhh over 40 years ago...but i was suprised by how thought provoking some of them are...and how talented ...i cannot imagine how one would actually start to create a sculpture...let alone so life like...agreeable some some chosen subjects could be a better choice...lol...but i loved the idea of a dog popping up in an autopsy

I WAS QUITE TAKEN WITH THE PRACTICALITY OF THE
"BRITNEY GIVES BIRTH" ART WORK BY DANIEL EDWARDS, AS IT COULD EASILY DOUBLE AS A CYCLE STAND.....AS ONE IS ALWAYS AT A LOSS AS TO WHERE TO PARK ONES BIKE, IN TOWN......SLOTO WHAT???
