How to score at a festival

Festivals are hot, wet, smelly and dirty, and so are most of the people there. So if you can stay fresh, you're already ahead of the pack. Bring face wipes, tissue paper, hair wax, deodorant, bottled water, condoms and a towel, and keep them with you during the day when you're watching bands.

Don't go overboard -- there is no way you will stay clean all weekend, even if you bring a mobile shower unit and a dozen crates of baby wipes. But if you can scrape the mud off your face enough for the girl of your dreams to see you beneath it, you'll be in the top 5 percent of candidates to go back to her tent.
